Nice job. Curving the sides was especially nice...
Any problems sliding the mini in/out with so many ports connecting at once?

It is slightly stiff but ok. I have actually modified it completly now. It has a clamp using rubber rollers to hold it secure. Will post pics soon when it is fitted to my glove box.
That looks like a great starting point for mounting the Mini in my glovebox:

Would LOVE to see the update with the modifications and rubber rollers.
Also, it seems like the side rails would scratch the Mini when you slide it in and out. Is that true?
And, it looks like you've got two screws holding the cross brace on each side. What are those other spots nearby on the sides? They look like rivets or screw holes or something.
hey timeshifter,
It doesn't scratch the sides, but over time maybe, so stuck felt on the inside. The holes are for venting.
Your glove box seems very roomy, mine is a dodgy shape so still thinking about how to mount the dock. Will post pics of the the new dock when i get back from work.
bye
Bumpitty bump bump...pics of the updated dock, if you could?
Sorry matey,
Been trying to get gps receiver to work, so neglected dock. It still looks rudimentary, i stole parts from an old VCR. The top cover is actually a heat sink and the rubber band a drive belt. The rollers also came from there, the band clamps the rollers down on to the mac, not too much pressure though enough to hold it secure. Will reattach plugs etc after i cut hole in back of glovebox. Will show more pics soon.

Went to the Mac expo in london yesterday, Routebuddy were there, they talked me into getting there package. They told me that in the next couple of weeks they will have post code to post code routing, all available in their next update.
Just if anyone is interested.
Thanks
Nick
Didn't mean to pressure you...but thanks for the pics. Looks good...and nice recycling/reappropriation of parts.
Bet you had fun at the Mac Expo!
What front end are you using?? And, do u have gps running through this?? If so, what program?? I am running an mac mini similar with osx 10.3.9, but cant find workable software.
