Powermate usb control ON/OFF Control????

ive been looking on websites to see if this has the ability to Power On/Off ive read here http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/5ca2/ that it supports some systems but i thought it was only for a mac anyway. Any input on this will help or if it doesnt work like that and someone knows how to make it do it that be nice too and thanks to whoever replys

Now that would be exceptionally neat, use that as a power button and everything else... Lol

I am afraid this will only work with old Macs that did support USB power-on. First PowerMates also supported this and I was using it with my old G4/450MHz. But first Apple and then Griffin dropped support for this feature.

well everything i find is old for older macs i mean no luck on finding anything newer that will work i dont wanna have to open the mac to hard wire a power button that will void my warranty so once again any soloutions be greatful

i'm planning on making a dock and using a small solenoid to press the power button on my mac mini. What kind of mac are u using. If you're using a mini i'll let u know how it turns out.
