Quite a few devices do not officially support Mac, but work fine. Since the number of basic chip manufacturers is rather limited, there is reasonably high chance that the device will work using one of the existing drivers. I am using a CDMA (450MHz) USB modem which is officially Windows-only, but works without problems using a driver for one of the Verizon devices (the driver comes with OS X). If you can get your hands on the device without purchasing it, just give it a try.

I know what you mean, but it is very unlikely that i am going to be able to do that without actually buying it... Lol

It is purely so i can dump a prepay chip in there and then whenever i switch on it will connect to the net straight away, no more akming sure the bluetooth is on etc....! Lol

I've actually got two of these, but no Mac to test them out on for you.

I'll check around and see if anyone I know has a Mac I can use as a "guinea pig" for a few minutes, but no promises.

Nice find workingcars. I did a quick google to see the price of it and I noted that on this page it lists one of the operating systems as OS X.

    Check it out. http://www.3g.co.za/content/view/35/31/

    That would be great....

Over here in the uk phone companies are always doing silly offers for "prepay" sims...

Like virgin, who will send you 4 for nothing with 5 credit on each....

I have about 60 from all the different companies so it will mean when it runs out of credit, just bin it and put the next one in... Lol

Have a look at this one

OK in french but the program is most important stuff
    http://www.macbidouille.com/articles/231/

Same as Jirka said even if it is not supposed to be compatible a lot of stuff do work straigth from the box as OSX has a lot in it already

And if not a lot of them work with great programs from the active community as this one http://www.novamedia.de/index_e.html

Yeah no free time now even in the middle of nowhere you can surf
