Does anyone have any reccomendations on car a/v shops in the Baltimore area to install my P1900?
I have a 2000 Jetta GLS and there's no available grommets in the firewall to pass a wire for power to the P1900, so rather than go to the headache, I want to pay someome to do it for me. I'd also have them connect it to the battery, and ignition, and ground everything.
I'm thinking about Audio Connection on Joppa Road. Has anyone in the area done business with them? What did you think (service, price, etc)?
Thanks!
I know this may not be the best place to post this, but I'm not sure where to ask so if there's a more appropriate place for this thread, by all means move it.

Thanks for the advice. That was my original plan, but I've since changed my mind. I know exactly what has to be done, and the reasoning behind it (and trust me, I've LOVED learning everything about it!), but for the sake of time, and ensuring the job is done right, I want to have it done professionally.
The rest of the install I have done/will be doing myself. You're right, it is definitely satisfying to know I've taught myself (through the help of everyone here on the forums) some pretty difficult things, and have the end products to show for it. Hell, I even sucessfully made this:

I've been dragging my feet on this install for quite some time now because of this issue, so I want to get past it so I can finish everything and enjoy my Mac on the go!
Nevermind. I ended up taking it to Audio Connection, and they did a superb job. They did a very clean, tidy, safe, fast and professional job wiring up the input harness for my P1900. I would reccomend them to anyone in the area looking to do the same.![]()
Have you got any pics...?

I've been working on finishing the install this week, and have taken pics along the way. I'll have LOTS to post when everything is done.
Can you say how much the install cost and how long it took? I'm considered having mine professionally installed also but I'd like to know about how much it should cost. Thanks
All in all it was about $80. This included labor ($55/hour), shop supplies, and the wires.
I basically just had them run 8AWG wire from the battery (and install a 20amp inline fuse) to the trunk, and also run an ignition wire to the trunk. From there, they connected the wires to the input wiring for the P1900, and wrapped everything in plastic split loom cabling so it was all nice and tidy.
