I am getting ready to install a Mac Mini in my car (Intel based with OS X 10.4.9)
I know that there is a few apps out there for GPS nav functions like route buddy and route 66 (although I have heard of compatibility issues with this software and os x 10.4)
Anyone have this software and have experiences with them or know of anythign else...
I have purchased the BU-353 USB GPS receiver as well.
Let me know.
Thanks

thanks for helping me out
im waiting for someone to shine some light on this subject already. i saw Route 66 USA 2004 at Fry's electronics today for forty bucks. not much choices when you go mac.
Basically there is nothing out there.
Now if you're willing to make few compromises and work a little bit to get your GPS, here are some solutions:
-Route 66 is outdated and works only with PowerPC, correctly, I believe.
-There is a program called RouteBuddy that seems decent, but it has no routing, which is kind of a big deal for car GPS.
-There is RoadNav that does pretty much everything you want, but it's using government's maps, thus it doesn't have a lot of info like (close by coffee shops) and such nice features.
-GoogleMaps/Earth is another option but it requires some work to get up and running, plus you need internet for most of the nice features, but if you read bugbyte's BoostMobile cheap internet thread you'd see that it's not that hard to make it work.
can anyone add anything else?
