is destinator 3 originally for a pocket pc? what i'm asking is actually... i want to purchase the destinator 3 software and need to know if what i'm about to buy is what i need for this front end by ninja monkey.

below is the description that i'm looking at:

PowerLOC's Destinator Personal Navigation Software for use on POCKET PCs (version 3.0 - Software Version is 3.0.09 / Web Activation Version). This product provides superb and accurate directions (visually and by voice prompts) to any destination in North America by use of the award winning NAVTECH maps. This boxed OEM product includes Destinator 3.0 software and maps (North America - Version 3). The software is compatible with and supports any NMEA compliant GPS Receiver.

    thanks!

Ninja Monkey, is this possible to do, if not the whole US how bout just the east cost and west cost being put into its own map. So there will be two maps total[east & west]

    Cheap US Maps

For those of us in the US, If you want to "Try out" Destinator 3 you can purchase a trial version for US and Canada. The cost is $15 US and you get all the maps. Now the Destinator 3 frontend that Ninja created does not check the registration of the maps, so theoretically you could use these maps forever. But to be perfectly legal, if you like the product please purchase the fully registered maps.

Here is a link to the $15 maps:

One question to those of you using D3.
Dose Destinator show land features such as rivers, lakes, airport, etc?

Yes. That is what I did to try them out. I have been using iGuidance 2.0 and really like a lot, but I wanted to try Destinator3 since everyone seems to say that it's the cat's meow of GPS software. I went and bought the trial version so I could use the maps with NinjaMonkey's frontend. It works perfectly. I don't know if I'm going to switch from iGuidance 2.0 quite yet. If I do then I'll pay for the full version to be legal.
