All a speed camera is, is a camera mounted on a light post that snaps a pic of you liscense plate as you go speeding by, so you will automatically be issued a ticket when you speed past these cameras. I dont think I like the idea. I just got a $500.00 ticket from a cop, if it was issued from a camera I would not have much bargaining power and probably would also be with out a liscense...
They are being used in DC, I've gotten a ticket from one before. But there aren't many around the US at all. I think DC is a test market. But a red light camera would be extremely useful.

Is it possible to convert these files? They have all speed cameras for Sao Paulo, brazil's largest state....

I also have the file for Rio de Janeiro (second largest state) in the same format... is there any way to convert these??? They are update files for a gps-based speed camera detector similar to road angel or whatever...

Is it at all possible to decrypt these files???

Hi Roy, I´m from brazil too and I was trying the same. You database is from Skytrax (originaly in .dat format)? I have a list with some points, but it not contain cordinates, just the adress. Is there a way to convert? I have the maps from Destinator 2 and it is working perfect in my destinator 3 install (including rotes) if you need I can send to you. The list is attached.

    Question

Is there a way to load the speedcamera waypoints into older gps like the streetpilot 2610. The Waypionts in the streetpilot are saved as .gdb files so it should be possible to convert a .csv into a .gdb right?
    Any help would be appreciated.
