What OS is on your laptops, never heard this one before

Are questions ok for here? anyways, I finally got Sirf mode, which seems to have helped get better usage of GPS support here in sao paulo... locks are more reliabel apparently, with the ton of buildings in the area...

Anyways, advanced gps is just for nmea? any technical reason for that or is it just that sirf isnt ready yet? what are the differences? can i use speed cams in sirf? what are the other advantages of advanced mode?

It's just for NMEA I'm afraid.

Advanced Mode will enable you to do the following:

Detect speed cameras
Overlay your current speed on the map
Display the number of satellites on the infobar

The rest is really for developers (the full nmea string can be queried, along with speed cameras, current heading etc.)

damn..... but nmea is slower than sirf right? will it ever be possible to support sirf? I dont see why it couldnt if all the information, speed, heading, etc is still available when using sirf.... can you share the limitation with us curious folk? I guess i might have to go back to nmea then!

Because I had to write code to parse the nmea data and retrieve all the information manually. SiRF is a completely different protocol and it'll take some time and a lot more coding before it's supported.

Installed it in my home PC with no problems. Currently changing fonts

I´m trying to use the project1 example.
When I try to connect I get a winsock error 10061.
Can you help me solve this please.

You need to allow applications to connect to the frontend, I've now set this to be disabled by default.

Open up C:\DestinatorApps\Frontend_PREV\Settings.ini

Find the line that reads

[Connection]
//Allow custom apps to connect to the frontend?
Enabled=No

and change it to

Enabled=Yes

Note that there are loads of new commands that aren't yet documented in the dev manual yet. I'll update it when I make an official release
