When I've used the Beta releases, it just asks which Speed camera database you want to use.

If you are using the older versions, (ie the original D3 + upgrade), then visit here.

Download Destinator 3 UK Speed Camera Pack HERE

    ok

Speed camera detection in my frontend is totally seperate to destinator. When a camera is first detected or when you add a camera manually, it is automatically added to a favorites folder inside destinator called "FE_SPEEDCAMS". This enables the camera to then be displayed on the map. Deleting / adding items to this folder will not affect detection at all - it is simply used for displaying the cameras.

So, you won't be able to actually see the camera displayed as an icon on the map until you've driven by them at least once. (Yet when you are approaching one for the first time you will be notified all the same)

If you really can't live with that, as of BETA 2 there is an 'import to favorites' button on the config screen which will wade through the entire camera database and add each one to the favorites folder, and so all will be displayed on the map without having to detect them first. (Because the destinator SDK isn't the best coded library ever this may take a while on large databases)

Basically, if speed camera detection and advanced GPs are enabled and cameras aren't being detected then they're not in the database. I'm not sure how up to date the files are - I may replace the UK one with the latest pocketgps data.

Hmmm... Just tried to import the speedcam-database, but im just getting this error:

    Error Details:

    Number: -2147467259
Description: Feltskilletegnet angitt for tekstfilen er det samme som desimalskilletegnet eller tekstskilletegnet. (Translates to something like this: Section-punctuation mark stated for the textfile is the same as decimal-punctuation mark or text-punctuation mark)
    Source: Import_SCDB
    Version: 1.1.314
    HelpContext: 5003441
    HelpFile:
    LastDllError: 0

Doesn't make any sense to me either... Just a plain 1.1.3 beta2 install, no fuss... Thanks for any help, as this will improve my economy dramaticly

Ups... Sorry, i've read through a lot of posts, and havnt come across it :P My bad Guess it's not solved?

Edit: I found it now, it was (very well hidden) on the first page of the sticky bug-reports thread *blush*

Well... Iva replaced my schema.ini file, so now I can import the database correctly, but it still gives me that "Number: -2147217900
    Description: Syntaksfeil (komma) i spørreuttrykket val(longitude) < 10,5220683333 AND val(longitude) > 10,3760683333 AND val(latitude) < 59,2827283333 AND val(latitude) > 59,1367283333
    Source: Check_For_Camera
    Version: 1.1.314
    HelpContext: 5003000
    HelpFile:
LastDllError: 0" error that has been reported...

Couldnt find a fix for this when i skimmed trough the post, so ill consider this as WIP Thanks for not -flaming me

Hey I considered it, you were lucky this time

No that is still a problem with language settings and the way I've hard coded some variables in to the camera detection.

In the new beta I'm moving away from CSV files and using full databases instead, which should hopefully solve the problem!
