Almost forgot, to use this you'll have to enable Plugins by opening up your Settings.ini and changing Enabled=No to Enabled=Yes under the [Connection] category.

I must note that the SDK only seems to tell you whether you'll be going left, right or straight on at a roundabout, so I couldn't tell which exit it would be...seems to work well enough however.

Is this why I was only getting these basic directions for roundabouts on Destinator embedded in Mediacar, or are you just refering to the SDK only ?

This is something different - What you're getting is because of a bug in the maps. I was having the same problem with the maps from the old pocketPC CD. The mio maps and the new 2004 maps work fine with roundabouts.

I'm a bit confused by what u said:

so if i read this correctly.....i can install 2 sound cards and a seperate speaker just for the voice directions in destinato?

Wolfman: Yes what iv got in the car is USB soundcard which this pludin sends the voice directions through.


Thanks to Scouse Monkey idea im having some speakers installed int he head rest so i have voice directions telling me where to go while the main car speakers are used for mp3

Also cause i have Dual LCD i turn the radio on (i have a FM modulator for carpc sound) and the back seat people can play games watch movies or whatever while i listen to the radio and have the voice directions in the headrest teling me what to do.

Reason iv got this done this was is in Australia if a movie or game is in view of the driver its illegal but sound from a movie is illegal so the back seat passengers have to wear headphones.

This is why i can put the radio on while other people listen or play games using the 2 snes controllers in the back while i can still listen to the radio and get directions by visual on my screen in the front while getting audio directions

Only thing i want to know is does htis plugin tell me everything like stay left turn right turn left in 200 500m etc.

It will tell you everything destinator does (I used the same 200 and 500 meter distances) apart from which exit on a roundabout to use (you will only hear left turn or right turn).

But I imagine the visual notification will tell you which exit?

Ahh so it will say left turn at the round about instead of take 2nd exit.

Well thats good enough for me altho it be nice if it said roundabout turn left so i know to look at the screen for which exit to use but thats not bad
