Do you know if this uses NMEA or SiRF? Or is it some other protocol? (Like garmin)

You probably need to find out which one it's using...it won't be both at the same time

What error message does D3 give you?

Even if you enable advanced mode, select the COM port and put the baud rate on autodetect?

You probably need to re-install the Earthmate drivers also. When you install, it asks if you are going to use the Earthmate with Delorme software only, or 3rd party software. If you select the first option, I'm pretty sure the Earthmate won't show up on a COM port. If you do the 2nd option, it install the USB-to-COM drivers.

Go to GPS forum and search for Delorme Earthmate and Routis. You will find out which driver will work and how to install it. The latest driver will works with all apps.
