Hmm, not heard of that before.
scroll to austin on the map, left click and select "set as origin" then try again
I tried to get destinator to plot a route from Austin to my parents house in Dallas. The GPS was unplugged, so for some reason it thought i was in san antonio.
I entered the address, and it said "Can't find route". I checked the address, it was correct. I verified that the map was correct and that the address on the road was correct (in fact, I was able to manually select it)
Is this because it needs the gps signal to do anything? does it not really think I'm in san antonio?

Nope, still broken..
Reproduction steps:
set origin in austin..Anywhere.. (Map is USA3)
Try to plot a route to
19 cochran oaks ln in Dallas.
You get:
Path Not Found: IMPOSSIBLE TO BUILD WAY
You can verify that the address exists by going to that address.. It's there..
Any ideas?
Never used destinator, but you will get this error message in mappoint if there is no way to get to the destination via the roads on the map. This could because there is just invalid map data, maybe missing roads or roads marked as oneway that should be two way or if there are avoidance areas selected that avoid the only way to get to the destination.
Can you get directions at all to your parents house? Try finding the place on the map that is the farthest away from your parents house and closest to your start location that you can still successfully get directions to, then try and get directions from your start to that location. If you can get all these directions, then it means theres a problem with destinator doing the complete route, if not, it means your just missing map data and you'll never be able to route to your parents house until its updated.

I can navigate right to the entrance of their road.
So essentially all roads right up to the last street which it refuses to connect to.
I can see the road, visually it seems to connect..
AHA
OKay.. so I wonder if this is what's causing weirdness with people having addresses that don't exist.
Destinator can map to roads that connect like:
----------------
|
|
|
But I just found 2 cases where it cannot connect to roads that connect like:
-----------
\ /
|
|
For some reason it can't handle the y connection.
Is that bad map data? or a code bug?
And even more additional info.
If you set your origin to that start point, you can navigate out no problem. Just not back in...
Ninja any idea if this is bad maps or a frontend bug?
Hey now why would it be the frontend?!
It's either the SDK or bad mapping data.
If it's worked on previous maps I'd say it's the latter.

BAD MAPS
Maps also contain 'metadata' -or- information about the roadways: one way, width, class of travel, type of junctions w/ other roads. etc

one more thing to try --to get more understanding of what/where is failing.
Try routing FROM these various points to other locations near that "Y" and beyond.
It would be interesting to know that routes can be generated in one direction but not the other.
