    I agree !!

I am going to buy the maps legal, so I do not care if Powerloc likes what I do with it. They should be happy about getting some Money, doing nothing for it !
Ninja is responsible for my suggestion, buying Destuinator maps for more than 100€. Nobody else, Sop if they tell me They do not like what I do, NO PROBLEM !! Lets send the maps back, get my money and find another way, getting the same maps for free without supporting powerloc.

Same here that's why I bought mine. Just let them know why you've bought them.

One year ago I BOUGHT Destinator 2 with a Leadtek GPS receiver at destinator.nl for a rip-off price of 400 Euro. Just 1 month after I bought it, the PPC 3 version came out. So I asked them when the update for PC would come and they kept telling me "in a few months". An outright lie.

Now to hear them say "it doesn’t make any sense…" is outrageous! I take that as an insult. It did make sense for them to charge me hundreds of euro's for software they knew they were not going to continue. Why didn't they offer new maps for the D2 version? Because they don't care about their customers, they're just in it for the quick buck.

I say screw 'em, rob 'em and rip 'em. At least that's what I'm going to do. Get the maps, get the hacked dll, get whatever I can get my hands on to make it work. And stop acting this 'holyer than thou' crap on illegal software. A SDK is for developers who are developing apps to use with an OFFICIAL and paid for release!

Praise for you Ninja Monkey and thanks for all your hard work, they should offer you a job instead of bugging you about max. map size and what not.

I'm not to sure how big this company are, but you can probably safely assume that if they were really that upset about it then they would have sent more than a few emails.

Probably what has happened is that an employee has stumbled across the site and brought it to his boss's attention. Therefore they send a few emails, then forget about it since they are more interested in other markets.

Now, why not just as a test, someone hack the PDA version of all its' security features, then allow people to download it from a website...........

See if you get an email.

Despite this I don't blame NM for being cautious!

We as Destinator made a decision that we don’t want to sell and support any PC version of Destinator because the number of sellable licences is so small that it doesn’t make any sense…

if the number of sellable licences is so small...

That is the problem. Your free Destinator with cracked .dll is offered on the web from different illegal resellers… That’s what I want and need to stop asap.
... why would you want and need to stop illegal resellers? THAT doesn't make any sense.

Can some one post the email address in the forum as a sticky so we can all hassle PL to give a legal resolution or start selling the PC version again ?

    I emailed sdk@destinator1.com and sdk@destinatoreurope.com last night

Both emails were read by them... no response though. Very rude they never complained about me BUYING the product. I also emailed them last week and got nothing back either.
