    CSV File Solution

Hi! I wanted a way to view the CSV files made by Map Monkey's plugin that tracks where I drive. I upload these files to my webserver, and the PHP I made (took about an hour or less) reads them and seperates the data. Take a look! I have to sort through it and make it look a lot better - but it's functional! Tell me what you think! -Brett W

    I like it!

What's with the distances on the last 3 files, is this because you made big journeys without having destinator running or does it look like a bug?

    Good job.

Bit worried about the distances, in files 2 to 5.

I guess the info has not been manipulated in any way??

Now it would be very cool if we find a way to plot the whole journey

You know you want to add sorting by colums and an upload file section for people to upload their csv and get it automatically converted .

Convert the CSV file to a GPX file and plot it at www.gpsvisualizer.com or www.motionbased.com

Oookkkk... This sample was built in about an hour - just a simple test before I had to run off to work. I would like to see what I can do to make a VB app or similar that will allow a mobile computer to automatically upload to my server when a connection is available - and to be hidden so it's not in the way. I also will make the viewing area have a link to a plotted map so it's easy... Much more work to be done! I also wanna make it better looking - it's ugly! -BW

EDIT: The milage was off i believe because I didnt have it configured right. You can see the lat/lon is waaaay off on a few values - which results in high numbers when compared to the correct data...

There are tools that will import into MapPoint and create a track or import as pushpins which isn't so great. By far the best tracks I've seen though are using GPSVisualizer, you have to do it online but can then save the image I believe. The background can also be either a map or a satellite photo.
