    who would pre-order Destinator PC?

    If it were available ?

This may be a way to get them to develop the pc version. Perhaps try a group buy? If it were priced comparable to other notebook solutions, I certainly would
pre-order or do a group buy.
Iwill ZPCgx 2.4ghz cel, 256mb pc2700, external combo drive, 80gb 2.5 laptop drive, xp pro, usb gps, 7 in Lilliput TS , carnetix CNX1900. All mounted ghetto- still experimenting and tweaking.

I would if a better SDK would come along.
Map updates would be nice too. There are some holes in my area. I don't want to have to spend $150 every year just cause they added another couple of streets.

I would be loathed to pre-order for D3 when Ninja's Mapmonkey and CDR's Freedrive are *at this stage* far superior products.

I'd be more inclined to pay for some sort of D3 license - unless Powerloc provide positive evidence that their D3-PC product is something worth paying for up front.

I have a contact at powerloc and I talked with him yesterday. The PC version of Destinator 3 will be finished within 2 weeks. They have been working on it for awhile. I am not sure why they initially acted like they were not going to make one. The only legal way you will be able to get a copy of the required DLL for these Destinator frontends to work is going to be by purchasing Destinator 3 for the PC. Once you purchase it, you don't have to run their frontend, but you can run any frontend of your choice. You will just have to purchase the Destinator 3 PC version to get the finished, required, legal D3 DLL.

I am not pre-ordering anything. I bought Destinator 3 with the PPC binaries already before they decided anyone was doing anything wrong by using the maps on the PC. I'm a legal user... See!

They want more money off me? They have got to be joking!

As Terran says see here... Response from PowerLOC/HSTC!
