MapMonkey Gps working but not on map

Okay here goes my story

I installed Mapmonkey 1.1.3 , i use teh advanced GPS settings ,

what i get is my map , i see on the TOP LEFT the amount off sattelites switching from red 3 to green 4 ,5 . the currentlocation ICON is not moving.and is showing like there is no sattelite info.

on the LOWER RIGHT i see the satelite status RED.

could this be because i am using the OLD DEST....DLL ?

i tried several settings , advanced GPS and non advanced GPS

still the same result , when returning from hibernation the GPS is receiving satellite (green 6 in top left corner) but the map isn't showing the location.

exiting the mapmonkey and restart mapmonkey does not solve the problem

when i restart the whole PC then the GPS works fine .

is this a DRIVER issue ?

You don't say which Sat receiver you are using, and in which mode ?
With this extra information some of your other forum members might be able to help you from their past experience.

I had similar problem, check your not in planning mode?? the car and person icon in tool bar......sorry if this insults your intellegence but i spent about 20 mins wondering why it wouldnt work then realised my mistake!!

It might be a problem of hibernation that loose the configuration of the USB devices....

my GPS is a RGM2000 ROYALTEK Saphire

i uSE SIRF mode 38400 COM4.

witch driver do u use ?

mine is PROFILIC USB to COM

Try switching your GPS device to NMEA (using SiRFDemo or similar) and see if you have the same problems (making sure to change Map Monkey's config to NMEA/4800)

Greetings to all of you. It's the first time I post here. I tried all version of destinator and mapmonkey. The last of them did alot of crushes and I hope you can help me.
The first time I installed version 1.1.3 everything worked fine except the receiver. When my car was stopped it suddenly starts count speed from 0 up to 250 KM/H and the point was running in the fields. Anyway, I use frodoplayer and so I download the launcher. Now the problems are too much. 1. When I run the GPS from frodo or not there is no speed down right and no satellite number up left. 2. Receiver dont work and even if it do sometime is like crazy, as I told before. I have tried com1, NMEA, 4800. I did anything, no improvment. 3. When I open it from frodo and I want to exit it stays in background and I have to close frodo to finishe it. 4. In this version and in the previous demo version the roads to avoid are checked and is impossible to change them, so I cant use toll roads and to any exit it gives me direction to go out. Do you have any suggestions. I must say that with the demo version everything was ok except this problem with the toll roads. Thank you.
