    Question best receiver for mapmonkey??

    I just check evere thread in "Gps" and "Mapmonkey" but I don't find enything relate.....

    In one word, for you guys that use Mapmonkey What is the best Gps reciver for the App...?

    Serial or Usb??


    Links to "Where to Buy" will help....(Did I in ebay and Amazon But not sure if those are the right ones...)

    I would never recommend a serial reciever. Check out the thread about OEM GPS recivers.

    Did a and "OEM GPS recivers" came with nothing relate to gps brands and specific for Mapmonkey.......

    Yes, I do have two earthmates and I'm happy with them. Get em used without the crappy software

    OEM GPS Modules.

    i have a royaltek rgm-2000

    there is no warm up time soon as i boot up it gets lock before the software runs


    i have been arround loads of places and never lost a signal yet

    I use a BU-303 and it works great. Cheap, and does the job. I think that's also the one NM was using when writing the software too.

    apparently there are issues with bu-303 and latest version of map monkey reported by people on www.digital-car.co.uk

    Exactly WHERE on Digital Car, it's a big site ? I'd like to know what problems I'm NOT having because my BU-303 works fine with MM in NMEA and SiRf.
