Initially On (as it was with all the Map Monkeys), still not sure if it is any different with it OFF.

Yeah, the latest version has a new "feature" that sabotages the GPS and turns the signal down. You mean you don't like it?

Seriously, in the transition from BETA 3 to Map Monkey no GPS code was altered. And like I say, it's working beautiful on mine (Adv GPS on, 4800, NMEA)

Same here, hot the BU-303 and haven't noticed any differance.
Depening on cars (lots of rentals) you sometimes have to put it on the roof because the signal is too low inside but that's hardly MapMonkeys fault.
Usually get around 7-8 satellites, sometimes up to twelve.

I have a BU-303 mounted on the corner of the dash. The only difference I have found since migrating to the full MM is when I'm starting it. Sometimes it tells me I have no lock, so I re-boot MM and all is usually fine. From then on I have 8 to 10 sats and sometimes all 12. I never had to re-boot with beta 3, so perhaps aquisition is a little slower when booting D3 in MM release ?

The app, along with all the NMEA and SiRF support was designed around and tested on a BU-303! If it doesn't work then your system is having a problem, not Map Monkey

Try updating drivers, changing USB ports, installing service packs etc... there's nothing more I can do to make it work for you
