    wouldnt this kill processors??? it would be very cpu intensive

    Ya, that is just the Urban map. You are right, the Urban doens't have much but There is also the Topo map and Aerial maps that show everything. Urban is color but Aerial is B&W.

    The Aerial maps won't take much at all. It is just pasting several images together and displaying them in the viewing rectangle that you want. I'm not making the actual navigation part of it (I might later) where you drive around and it shows you in real time where you are on the image.

    damn does anyone know where i can get topo maps for Puerto Rico (since itis a territory of the US...)the island is only like 100x35 miles big so i don't think storage will be a problem.

    If anyone knows please help me out!!! thanks

    if you arent gonna do the navigation part of it, what do u plan on doing with the maps then?

    Just to clear up a few things for some of you peeps out there...

    1. you WILL still need D3, even for MM, because they all use the D3's Dest.dll
    2. you won't need a powerful PC, as I also have it working on the PocketPC
    3. I also have the higher detail maps working on PocketPC + PC.
    4. and yes, it'll be A VERY LONG time before anyone has real time imagery, cos if it's xTB's for us coverage how long would it take to write to hard drives for people to download etc.

    slim it down and dish it out on CD - higher detail areas for individual customers - you make a killing mate!

    *cough* 25% my way for the idea....
