    2. you won't need a powerful PC, as I also have it working on the PocketPC
    3. I also have the higher detail maps working on PocketPC + PC.
    4. and yes, it'll be A VERY LONG time before anyone has real time imagery, cos if it's xTB's for us coverage how long would it take to write to hard drives for people to download etc.
Will you be releasing a beta version that would, er, work for people that say had a copy of MS Flight Sim UK data from game, as you said

I found a programm, which offers satellite Pictures, a flight over the whole country and so on for Germany. The Price is only 30, about 40US$.
    The mibnimuim requirements are :
Pentium II,64 MB RAM and for the flight a graphic card withh 8mb.
I think our car-Pcs can handle this without Problems.

Oh, the data is stored on 2 DVDs, and the quality is between 2m>1pixel to 5m>1pixel

Price and value is more than good...... but could it be used??

I'm sure it'd work, although it would need some converting of the data to work. ie, making into 1 big file, for fast access like my uk one.
as for dishing it out on CD, it would have to be viable, cos i'd have to make a company, then set a price that would help cover all costs, and also give GM their share. if only it was free, like the MS one. wish MS would buy GM and make it free lol
it'll be a little while before i release a version, cos i want to make it a tad more complete.
again, i'm gonna ask, any artists here? lol

I found out that the data from D-Sat can be exported directly to Ms-Flight Simulator, may this help??

I have the US maps implemented into my program. I just need to put it into my car because it is kind of lame just sitting in my house with the GPS mouse hanging out the window. I'll take some screenshots. Next thing to do with the maps is let you change the zoom ratio and switch between the differant type of maps.

Here is a screenshot. This is using the Urban maps which are only offered in the more populated areas. The other ones are black and white and you can't zoom in quite as far (almost but not this much).
The original idea for my program was to log your GPS location and when you get an internet connection have it send your logs to a server. This server would be on all of the time. There will then be a desktop client that you can use to pull whatever data you want off of the server (in a calender form) and show you where you have been. It is called GPSSecure becuase I first started making it so if you got your car stolen and someone passed an open access point it would send that data to the server. Not too incredibly useful so I am expanding it to do some other things. So far I have the car client working with the server. I just need to implement a database for storing all of the logs and work on the desktop client.
Sorry for kind of hijacking your thread baggers

Don't tempt him or else he will end up buying the maps and the whole countries found on the maps.
