Thread: MM keeps crashing?

ok, so im on my second in car installation of windows... i had to reinstall cause i played with the registry a little too much... anyhow...

for some reason MM keeps crashing after you leave it running for a little while (30+ mins) it will pop up an error box "map monkey has encountered a serious error...etc etc...will now close" or something like that...

i was using NMEA before.. and it crashed then.. and i recently switched to SIRF and im still having the same result... also earlier today, my gps was spazzing out it would lock on to 4 satellites.. then jump to 7.. but have low signal, and it would say that im driving like 45mph in a golfcourse... and an airport.. after messing with it some more this evening.. it magically fixed itself.. which brings me back to the original problem of crashing. anyone have any ideas?

i am using advanced mode SIRF at 38400 bits per second. (for some reason this is the only bitrate it connects with) i also have a rikaline 6010 gps.
