    Navigate to Full UK Postcode (Intenet needed)

    I've written an application that, given a full UK postcode, can route you to the latitude and longitude given by that postcode. It can also add the location to your favourites with a name of your choice, for later use.

    This is what it looks like:

    In order to do this it leverages a well known mapping web site, which is why an internet connection is required. I don't have mobile internet access but I do find it useful to utilize my wireless connection before leaving home to do the lookup. If you do have mobile access you can use it whereever you are.

    I've had this running on my own PC, and wondered if a few people might like to beta test it a bit. Would anyone be interested in having it? It's all in a setup program, ready to go.

    Apologies to people in other countries but at the moment this is UK only.

    It certainly wasn't possible as recently as the beginning of this year;
    Full Post Code search...Possible??

    Have I missed a change made to the product?

    As far as I could see MM provides lookup on the smaller version of the postcode database, so you can lookup "TS18 4" but not "TS18 4EY". My prog does the latter of these. Normally you'd require the full PAF database for this.

    Terran, he's right

    Ric, I haven't tried this (but will, it's a good idea) but assume it's a monkeytalk DLL plugin?

    It is a pain in the ***, especially if your trying to route to someone's house in the countryside.. and it's a named house not a number!!

    Yes, that's right it uses MonkeyTalk. It's an executable - just run it (I'm running it from an app button on Frodoplayer), type in your postcode, and it'll send the lat/lon to MM, add the favorite if requested, and then quit.

    Get it from here:
    http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~rich...code/setup.exe

    As it is effectively screen scraping from a web site we're at the mercy of the provider, but the site hasn't changed in a while.
