    Creating RR Skin For MM

Im running RR as my frontend and it works with MM really well. Im creating a skin for the GPS side of it and using the hotkeys to send commands to MM. This all works spot on but I wondered if it was posible to do the following:

    1. Remove spped from MM screen?
    2. Remove blue info bar from bottom of MM screen?
    3. Remove MM menubar?

    Cheers for any help

    In the latest hotfix:

    2. -Optional Height Offset of Mapping Window
You can now specify a "HeightOffset" value in the settings file
to increase / decrease the height of the mapping window. This can
be used to hide the default Destinator status window.

The other two, I'm not sure.

    Should all be possible...

    1. Open the skin.ini for your map monkey skin and under the [Global] category change SpeedColor to a value of -1

    2. Open Settings.ini in the Map Monkey folder and under the [Global] category change HeightOffset to the height of the blue bar

    3. I've not tested this, but it should work in theory. Replace MAIN_BAR_OFF and MAIN_BAR_DOWN in your skin with an image only 1 pixel in height

Sorry for the delay in replying, Ive been busy routing my cables and installing my new 7" screen! These steps worked perfect the actual HeightOffset I used was 32 and this removes it completely. The 1px menubar also worked spot on. As another quick note I alos changed InfoBar=No on the startup section of the setting.ini. This defaults the infobar to be turned off. This way I get all the functionality of MM but the skin of RR. I will post some pics when Ive finished it. Thanks alot for all the help.

Glad to hear that it works

A little off topic - where have you mounted your screen? I have a friend with a 2004 Cooper S who wants to install a carputer but is having trouble finding a good location. He doesn't want to lose his headunit so indash isn't an option! Advice/Pictures would be really appreciated

I have just a Standard Cooper (2003) not sure if the dash area is the same, but I removed the left silver upright and made a custom bracket to screw into the radio mounts, this then bends round so the screen is centrally mounted in front of the radio, I then put the upright back. I will sort out some pics tommorrow when its light then post them here. I also have a collegue with a 2004 standard cooper I will get him to post his pics too has he as mounted it in a different place. At least with a 2004 cooper a power source in the boot is standard! I had to wire one in as BMW wanted 100 to run 1 cable 3m long

What command do you use to open the menu screen in mm from within RoadRunner.
The road is long but we are getting there.

    "MM;Hotkey_CMD|FE_VIEW_MENU_OPEN"

    Check out the following file:

    "C:\DestinatorApps\Map Monkey\Hotkeys.ini"
Just put "MM;Hotkey_CMD|" in front of the hotkey commands.

    RR and MM together r v v v cool!

Here's some pic's of the screen mount so far as requested, it still needs tidying up a bit but you can get the basic idea.
