    Baggers that looks AWESOME!

Is the application very processor intensive? I'm only running a PIII laptop and fear that it might not be enough to refresh the image data fast enough.

There are also some comedy aspects, like when you plow over roundabouts, drive through houses and jump down bridges...

Looking forward to some sort of release of this,
any ideas on rough pricing of the application?

    Keep up the good work!

Yeah well funny thing is I was a devout chocaholic and when your a driver, well, the dash looks like a candy store.... mars bars, snickers, jelly babies, coke

I just cant believe I kicked the habit and was on fruit for the 2 months before I lost the job, then suddenly started the thirst that would not go, then the diagnosis came.

I think its the switch to healthy living that did it.....

anyhow, like I said, no job=free time, down to a crap runabout van for the moment as my car is still being rebuilt, cant wait to get the stuff back in my main car but then again the van is good for testing hardware & software without having to do a pretty install, I can just tape everyting in place and not worry about doing the interior any damage as its already wrecked!

hang on, son of 8, thought it was a daughter?

    lol at your dash
and yeah it's amazing what a change of diet can do.

as for son of 8, he's not my son, he's my nephew, ( like I said above ) and yes, I correct, I do have a daughter

    Thanks glad you like it

It was processor intensive, on first pass, as I hadn't optimised it AT ALL, it's a lot faster now, not to mention that GPS updates are only 1 second intervals anyway, i'm sure it'll be fast enough lol.
I'll prolly put it on a timer, so it's updated 4 times every second, with approximation guesses for where you would be going at current speed etc. ( on a setting of course, cos it's getting the gps co-ords, from MM or whatever you use

and yeah it was comical for the simple fact, i just randomly placed guide points, and coded the car to drive to each direction, with a limited turning circles, and braking for sharp corners, to make it look a little more realistic instead of autocar.

as for pricing, it'll be a little while yet, cos i'm still in negotiations with GetMapping and Intermap to sort out height map info etc. once i've made a demo they're happy with ( as this will be the first main stream app with 5m height data, as they normally let companies have 20m data or more. ) then we can get started. ( the only problem is now I have to prepare a demo for my real paying work, so that's kinda eating up all my time at the moment. )

    I'll keep you all informed
