Power Nisse there's a LandSat7 version I'm doing also, so yes it will work in Sweden, but the resolution will only be as good as Landsat7 ( look at WorldWind or Google Earth for reference )
Also, Lez, No my paying work didn't make me leave the country, but I did however take a holiday not long got back hoping to get a Landsat7 version ready for the UK DCmeet Oct2nd.

are you going to the meet lez?

If I had known you were going to be there I would have made the trip just to twist your arm!

Well I have no paying work since the taxi bit the dust, looks like I may be going to work on the trains or busses, aiming more for busses, trains could take me to london, busses may take me to york, york and more york. yorks safer.........

Right, I've been doing a VB version of the app.
cos it also grabs map from nasa web site, instead of using WorldWind cache.
    Original Thread

PS, don't grab LARGE areas, cos each square on the grid is 341 jpg images it has to download.

It's good m8. But the mapping data for the UK is crap. I can see that I'm in my village, or when I'm on the M1. But not much more than that

yeah, that's cos that's the "FREE" nasa data, i'm still trying to organise getting the data from GM, but it's demo after demo they want, so for now, i released this app, with what looks about 25m data.
unless you have multiple hundreds of thousands, and would like to purchase the data from GM for me to use in my app, and distribute, then go right ahead, otherwise, be happy with what you have so far for FREE.

Yea, I know it's not a limitation of your app but of the data. As I said, it's GOOD

I didn't look at the Manchester area, I do know that Google maps have better data for there...along with London and the majority of the US. Is this the same scenario with the NASA data ??
