    I've emailed the destinator guys (Rafiq and Zane), still don't seem to get any reply from them.

    Seems as though they themselves don't yet have a solution, they were very keen to email back when I was enquiring about the SDK.
    Its down!!!! Sold the Golf so took it out, it's still alive but not installed.

    The latest I have heard is they are still working on it and nothing is resolved yet. I really think that this mistake will cost them a lot of business, why would you release an sdk with examples that do not work! If I hear any more I will update

    When it does come it will be a bit of a pain. They changed the name from DestLib to DestSDK so all of the existing references will be void, good news however is it seemed that you could put PN on the same machine as D3 to help you with the switch over. I really don't see the changes that were made other than the interface, now there are buttons everywhere that have transparency.

    I know, but I think that Destinator is pretty good, except for the graphic interface and voice directions... And Destinator PN is a little better, at least for the graphic.

    A little off topic, do someone know with Dest3 SDK how to enable/disable voice prompts? and some document/website talking about Sirf Protocol (I need to handle it by hand).

    Thanks!

    To disable voice prompts, pretend you dest object is called d:
    d.VisualNotification = 2;
    You can use 0 for no notification, 1 for visual & verbal and 2 is for visual only.

    As far as the sirf, I am not sure, I had to do the NMEA by hand and it took many conversations with Destinator before I found out what strings & data they required.

    Thanks, it thought that verbal means with text on screen, so I didn't even try!
    Thanks a lot.

    This is becoming a pain!!
    I've emailed Destinator again and they don't seem to want to know..... I have not had any updates or anything.

    When I try to run the example on my work machine it crashes down but yet on my home machine it runs fine. Does anyone have any idea why this could be???

    Can everyone whos tried to compile this please tell me what errors you got? I'm gonna try and see if I can play about with the code and fix it.

    Destinator have said it should be run on VC 7 yes?? Would Visual Studio .Net 2005/2004 be ok to try to compile the program with??

    [ I'm a C programmer and use emacs no fancy gui things before anyone wants to try to flame me :-) ]
