... i think i remember. it is not in the menus ...whilst in the map, point to somewhere close to where you are then with one of the four green symbols (one is a flag, one is four arrows, one is a magnifying glass, one is a tourist info i) an option comes up to find, and then you can find nearest poi by type.

sorry it was a couple of months ago now.

Thanks! I didn't even know there were three other buttons hiding behind the pan button . But I still see no way of searching for POIs by distance. I'm starting to read the manual as we speak, though . I think the POI feature is not something I would use much, but the rest of the program seems very good. Very nice looking . I will spend a lot of time testing it and driving with it. Eventually I want to write a review, but first I need to get to know it better .

    Speed Camera POI's

    Hi,

Yes it is possible. Download the pdf manual for PC Navigator 6 and read pages 83, 84 and 85. This covers the procedure using the getmef.exe utility which is included with the installation media. I could not find the procedure in the help files which were installed as part of PC Navigator 7

    Cheers

    ok, just checked it.

click on th green symbol to get the other 3.
click on th tourist info i
click somewhere else on the map, where you want to find the poi (this is the bit that confused me, you are not finding the nearest to where you are, you are finding the nearest to a place you point at.)
    now click on find nearest
    then choose you category.

from main menu 1/3 select "turn off navigation"
using the normal menus put in your destination.
    go to the map
using the same 4 green symbols you can select the flag then point at where you will exit the carpark.
    press menu
    press set as departure point
    press calculate route

when you are on the road, switch navigation back on.

I have installed PC Navigator 7, but I have a problem..
All citys and streets have very strange namnes. For example: Uuusala = Uppsala, Wokgolm = Stockholm and Harlstac = Karlstad.
I have tried to change language to both English and Swedish, but it still the same problem.

    Does anyone know what's wrong?

    Hi,

I've seen that problem before. Where did you get the software? Try a different copy.
