I still think the maps look pants....

I finally figured out the ocx syntax, so now i created my first running map application :-)
happyy to see progress:)
I've just got my VB frontend clicking the buttons automatically - that's my OCX :D
well this looks really promising... if it gets nicely integrated into RR I'll run and get a copy! finally some new maps from IG 2.1.2 that we europeans have been stuck with... :D
one small question about the v7 though, I tried v6 a while back but was real annoyed with the facts that the POI's wasn't sorted by distance... I mean if I want to know about a gas station I most often want one that's real close, have a habit of not refueling until the tank is almost empty... ;D
Some progress made today, i figured out how to control some stuff like zooming, searching the database, changing between kilometers/miles...so i think this is going quite well, given my limited knowledge of programming. I am now able to select the type of search, the field i wan't to search for and search criteria, like the "vej" i selected in the screendump (means road in danish, thats why there are so many hits :-)
I think this has been solved in version 7. (I have no experience with version 6.)
In PC Navigator 7, you can click on any location on the map (it doesn't have to be your current position), and choose "find nearest".
You can choose between a broad range of categories, one of those is "petrol station".
You get a list of these POIs, ordered in distance.
You select one and can navigate to it.
Cheers,
Johan.
OK - Some one convince me ( bar price ) why is this better than NavigatoR 2 ???
Does it have turn by turn commands with road numbers out - putted via voice ?
