    Post your Requested Features Here...

This thread will be for asking for features. Please just post your requests. I would also appreciate it if you did not discuss the requests in here. This thread is for the developers of Media Engine to see what people are looking for in an In Car Interface.

    Your post should resemble..

"I would like to see X and Y in media engine"

Make it so it doesn't take over your shell unless you want it to. I spent a freakin hour looking for how to fix it on XP back to normal.

A button to go back to playlist selection from the player....which doesn't stop the music.

Single clicks to activate the items on the main menu and to select playlists.

You can do it, it's the SWMP "sellect while music is playing" feature under the controlls in setup. You can access the setup again by clicking the clock on the main menu.

    hope that helps

    1. Support for the PB remote.

    2. When hitting the hotkey to go back to playlist listing while the music is playing, take you back to the Root Dir, instead of the current directory. (We can select those songs from the previous screen if we wanted to =) )

    3. When selecting a playlist, automatically go to playing the first song in the directory (or at least have an option to do so).

    4. Remote/HotKey Control for movies FF, RW, Pause etc.

    5. For some reason my StartVis button on my Keypress settings is shadowed out. Do I need to do something?

    6. Pat yourself on the back guys, this thing is freakin awesome. An answer to all our prayers.

-Peanut Butter? What is a PB remote? Give me a link...

When selecting a playlist, automatically go to playing the first song in the directory (or at least have an option to do so).
-You mean you want to just select the directory and have the music start playing, instead of a list of songs in the directory to choose from?

Remote/HotKey Control for movies FF, RW, Pause etc.
    -In The works

For some reason my StartVis button on my Keypress settings is shadowed out. Do I need to do something?
-The reason that this button is disabled is because I haven't found a good way to retain control of media engine w/ keyboard while vis is on. It works perfect with the remote because the only program getting input from the remote is MedEng itself. Some vis software takes input from the keyboard, and messes up the focus of Media engine. I will take another look at this, but until then, get an IRman ehhe..

Perhapse I missed this, but here goes. Does M E support other playlists? For example I want to listen to a mix of songs from more that one directory. How would one accomplish this? .3mu's?

You would just create a directory with those songs in it that you wish to be in your mix. If you have the hard drive space to spare, you can just have multiple song copies. I do not use a database, which allows you to mess with your directories at will an ME doesn't care.
