    Strange Problem with Remote

I tested Media Engine on my home PC without any problems. I have the credit card size Creative Remote which also worked with no problems.

I finally got my carputer up and running, but for some reason the remote is not working properly. The remote is working as far as the connection goes, but when I program Media Engine's functions to my remote, the same code number comes up no matter which button I press. So basically all my buttons do the same thing, the enter button.

When I test it on my home PC, each time I press the remote in the setup it gives a unique number.

I installed Remote Selector on my carputer (the app that comes with the remote) and it works fine. Each button is unique and recognized, so it seems to me like its the software thats the problem.

    Any suggestions?

I have a packard bell remote that isnt supported by media engine, so I just used Girder (girder.nl) to bind keystrokes to buttons, and then simply mapped the keystrokes and ignored the ir configuration in media engine.

but my remote is supported by media engine. It works fine on my other computer. Girder would work if all else fails, but Id like to try to solve the problem
