    Hi,
Im looking at a similar sort of problem although im only running my system on a home PC. (I havent got the funds for my carPC)
Take a screenshot of the screen and resize it to 800x480 or whatever.
Work on your image and make everything circular.
Then go into Paint (or something infinitely more posh)
and squeeze it back to 640 by 480.
Everything will look squashed on a normal monitor but if you see it on widescreen it comes out correct.
Hope im not teaching anyone to suck eggs here or offending them but it worked for me.
I hope it can help somebody,
    Gavin
