    Carplayer.com stealing mediaengine ideas?

    See this link, that Carplayer front end looks quite a lot like mediaengine's default skin, even the icons are the same. Whats going on here?

    GPS feature

    It looks like Carplayer has Microsoft Streets&Trips/MapPoint integrated into the app.

    Is this Photoshop magic or the real deal? If it is the real thing, how is the UI for entering address handled?

    that software should be sold seperately for those of us who have working remotes already, unless its specific to that remote, but then again we can use girder to emulate keyboard strokes..

    I talked to the carplayer guy, he told me that the Microsoft streets and trips would have to be purchased separately but, the carplayer software is already setup to handle it. You just need to point it to the correct directory.

    As far a entering text in GPS, the custom remote that carplayer sells has text buttons/along with the number buttons.
