    DO NOT Download Raven Skins

    I don't know why but both of those RAVEN skins on the ME site crash my ME to where I couldn't get in it at all. I had to re-install ME. I tried it out three times with both skins, after the third re-install I gave up and trashed them.
    Went back to my trusty old steel skins.

    I thought somebody tests this S**** out, before posting or am I the only one with this problem?

    I read something later on about somebody was having a 308 error with ME and they had to update the exe.

    Could you refresh me again on how and what file to update?

    go here

    http://www.zcentric.com/~mitcht/exe

    download that exe and replace it with the one in your mediaengine directory. Then you shouldn't get anymore skin errors.

    Its a problem with the skin maker that leaves out values. So an un-updated version of ME will die.

    or try this...

    I keep messin it up and getting a similar error message when testing my new skins.

    If you go to your media engine directory and find a configuration settings file called 'settings'...look for line like..

    CurrentSkin=Default MediaEngine2.skn

    Then just rename the file name to the default skin file and you should be alright...

    ..that was MY problem anyways..you might be having some other problem. Hope that works.
