Milk Drop Vis

i used the milk drop winamp vis in media engine, and it looks good. i put the vis in a window over the top bar that displays the track title/time. i used the vis to than display the track title/vis instead and made the font much larger so it can be easily read on an lcd

too make the song title/song time text larger edit

milkdrop_config.ini

edit the

nFontSize=5
nFontSize2=5

i used 5 as the size, default is 0 which is too small

the only thing thats not good about this is the windows frame w/ the minimize, maximize, close in it, if you try to put the vis above the top of the screen to hide it, the next time it starts, it automatically moves back down. if anyone finds out how to fix this, please let me know.

ps, how do you browse folders? how the vis would obscure your view?

i was wondering how to remove the top bar too. When not playing mp3's the vis is not visable because it only starts when winamp starts, so when you go to a diff part of the software its gone.

thanks to Defiler for showing me these fonts, the pontiac looks really good (install these in windows, than select them in the vis properties in winamp).

not if you press browse to look through your mp3's while a song is still playing...

hum....well you could try hitting the vis on/off button, but might have to hit esc to put it back on....

If that's just the visualation window, just move it up until the title bar is off the screen.

it only works 1 time, when you restart the vis or the app, its back down so you can see the bar

If you know windows programming, you could always just program a module into media engine to look for the MilkDrop vis, then remove the caption+border. Or I guess you could write a seperate program to sit in the background and make sure that the window styles of it are right...

Just a few Ideas. I have the milk drop vis in my app, with all of the "crap" removed from the window.

They also have an app that they wrote to let you customize messages and fonts for milkdrop.
