    I vote yes.

People are saying that most people don't use relay boards. To those people I ask, "Why aren't you?"

They are easy, cheap, and super COOL!

    And then I says....

If you have ever messed with controlling the parallel port in an NT environment, you will realize that you do not control it directly... You have to pass through windows first, making it very difficult to do low level control (like switches) with it. Since M.E 2.0 is designed FOR NT systems, its kind of a mute point to do this. A better idea would be to use PLCs of some kind to do the talking and use a com port.

using portIO will get you around this problem. It allows you to directly access hardware I/O and works under Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, and XP. Its a freeware and can be downloaded from

I assume me 2.0 will still be open-source, if you need it, add it in people, I'm sure there is a developer around that will do it.

    I Don't.

I just want ME v2 to come out before people start requesting for anything else and slow it down.
