SafeVolumeResume prevents you from hopping in your ride after a late night of cruising and jamming and having your hangover intensified by ~145db music @ 7:00 AM.

This is probably happening b/c your database isn't ready to 'rock' just yet. If you're using the 'Load to PlayMP3 Screen on Start' option, then we need to fix MediaEngine so it makes you wait until the database is ready before loading that. If not, try waiting a few seconds for the database to get reconciled and your list will load instantaneously. You can tell if your database is ready by loading Browse Media and the status will show up at the top, then disappear a couple seconds after it's ready.

Ahh Great news there.. I kinda figured that's what safe volume resume was, but It won't effect me since I use a head unit anyway and just leave ME at max volume.. As for the database loading, I coulda swarn it DID load fast a couple times but I thought I was going crazy lol.. I'll just unchecked load to playmp3 screen for now and wait a couple seconds then.. Thanks much for your work!

I've fixed the load to playmp3 setting so it makes you wait the 3 secs until the db is ready; your list will load almost instantaneously. Look for an updated exe set later tonight or tomorrow AM.

Looking foward to it I did go for a ride before and waiting the few seconds does make the list load almost instantly.. Takes maybe a second or two.. 2.0 seems to work great otherwise - Scrolling the mp3 list is amazingly faster when holding in pgup/pgdwn

    problem exists with all discs

Dude, you (or more accurately your winblows box has) got issues. ;-) Catch me in #mp3car tomorrow.

About your post before this one FrodoBaggins, wtf are you talking about? Perhaps those of you who have read the books, know in who's mouth the fate of the ring lies, and all is for naught... but I shan't hold my breath. Proper geeks knew how the story would end long before Peter Jackson started putting Hobbits on the big screen, do you Frodo? =D

At any rate, I made the playlist screen show you something instead of just being blank. Use more adjectives and pronouns next time and I'll understand your bug report right away.

Put it this way, I've been Frodobaggins since the days of 2400 baud modems and BBS systems.

And I've read the books, 6-7 times by now

Clicking on browse CD/DVD locks up MediaEngine. With any disc.

just done some quick testing and have 2 issues:

    - starting the vis. just gives a black screen doing nothing but churning the HDD. (no vis.). Vis works fine in WMP.
    - selcting "browse cd/dvd" hangs ME

    system:
win2k SP4 freshish build, WMP9, athlon 1800, Kyro II. Never installed ME1.x on this system.

Not sure if this is a bug so I figured I'd put it here just in case!
From Play Music, you can start MP3 playback and then choose to bring up the menu options to move to another area of the program. If you select most other options excluding radio, the MP3 music will still play as you are on the new screens such as external program. If you choose to go look back at the main menu from the Play Music option, the music instantly stops unlike the other selections. Is it possible to have the MP3 still play the music as it goes back to display the main menu? The reason I'm asking is in case I want to go back to configuration, I don't see why the music player should stop playing unless I choose something like DVD or radio from the menu!
