Talking Me 2.0 iz cool ... things I'd like to see

First off, great work you guys on this release. I've only been aware of ME for 6 months or so, but have been diligently waiting for this download. It dosen't dissapoint.
Anyways, I have a few suggestions that hopefully you will take into consideration for the next release

    1. In External Apps: having the option of changing the icon for a App. A few of my apps use external ICO files for icons.
    2. Adding support to display album covers.
    3. Somehow, if possble, to be allowed to hear the track as you press FF or REW. I really like hearing at what part of the track Im at.
    4. Also with FF and REW buttons: Pressing it once does a track +/- while holding it down allows FF/REW.
    5. Maybe some sort of Playlist sorting by Year/Style/Mood etc.
    6. An option for a more prominent Volume diplsay. Something a little more noticeable.

Like I said, keep up the AWESOME work. Thanks!

I plan on doing a lot more work to external apps in the future, this is a good suggestion that I'll try to incorporate.

You should see album art if you have .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .bmp files of your cover art in the folder where your album is. If there are multiple files it will slideshow them as well. Post back if we need to add support for more types of image files. I also totally re-wrote the tag reader module to support APIC frames in ID3v2.3 and newer tags - if there's an APIC frame (attached picture) in your mp3 MediaEngine will display it instead of any image files in your folder.

What are you using for control (i.e. remote, keyboard, touchscreen/mouse)?

If you're using a remote other than the CarPlayer remote, you might try increasing the autorepeat speed in settings.

All good suggestions - we'll keep these in mind while working on 2.1

What I would love to see more than anything is XM-Radio support! It seems as though the XM radio has become very popular recently, and I for one have it as well. I currently have to go into "applications" and then click on XM-Radio to get it to come up. I would like there to be an option to "jump to XM-Radio" on startup. Kind of like the mp3 option.

I have Jpgs (named folder.jpg) of the album cover in each directory... as my Dir structure is based off a Artist/Album method. Windows explorer sees the pictures, but ME dones't seem to see anything. They are set as hidden thou ... maybe thats whats happening. I'll post back.

EDIT: There's the problem... ME dosen't see hidden files. *maybe* you could incorporate this as well ??

Right now I'm testing with my keyboard. I plan on using it with ATI remote/girder.
