I'm not sure if this has been covered of if anyone else is having similar problems but divx movies played in ME 2 have servere lip sync. If i play them in the windows desktop evironment they play perfectly. Even restarting doesnt sort this out it only seems to be when using ME. I have the latest released patches installed.

I've noticed this as well, but it is only when the control buttons are visible. Once the control buttons disapear everything syncs back up in very short order. Just let it play for a while and see if it doesn't sort itself out.

sound sync issues in divx movies are directly related to how far apart the keyframes are in the compressed stream. most divx movies will do this when you jump to different locations in the movie - just wait a bit and it should come back into sync. if you're resuming a divx movie from the main menu, it will do this as well. this is a function of the codec as far as i know and not a wmp or mediaengine specific problem, but i could be wrong.

WMP does a crap job of syncing. But from what I've experienced with ME 2 (no update yet for me) it plays back dandy.

raajaxc - read the first post in this thread and follow the instructions. your picture although fun to look at tells me next to nothing about your problem. if you are unable to post an error report consisting of more than one complete sentence and without taking a screencap then don't bother posting it.

If you start AutoSync when the origin drive is not available (i.e. network mapped drive not connected), ME will exit and restart.
Sometimes the screen "Refreshing Database" stays forever. You have to kill ME processes using Task Manager then reloading it. It seems this happen when you have just made AutoSyncing.
Sometimes you can't turn up your volume more than 36% if you enable Safe Volume Resume. This option should start ME with a low volume but it shouldn't prevent the user to get it up.

    I'll look at that.

Look at what version of mediaengine.exe you have. The last version we uploaded syncs the database at the same time it syncs files. I wasn't able to test this function out so there may be a problem with it.

The safe volume option doesn't prevent you from turning the volume up, it causes it to start @ 36% the first time you play music or movies (because they store volume levels independently).

I'm using version 2.0.22 and 1.0.4, tomorrow I'll try the new revisions.
Ok I know what safe volume option is meant to do, but tonight I was driving and I couldn't turn the volume up, I have muted and unmuted and it came back to 36%. So I turned up the head unit volume (it's nice what you can learn here, head unit in italy is called "autoradio" ...)
as a workaround. It seems that closing and reopening ME has addressed this.
Well I'll disable that option, however we should do more beta testing on it
Yes, you're several bugfix revisions behind.

BTW - beta testing happens prior to release. And trust me, the safe volume option has been tested thoroughly. File a complete bug report including any messages from your debug.log file and any other relevant info (requested in the first post of this thread) if you're still having issues after updating.

I'm not sure if this has been covered of if anyone else is having similar problems but when I click VIS button space. I get VIS working fine but when I Click BIS button again to return to MP3 part of media player my start menu is on screen. Not a real problem but still happens when it shouldn't

Also what program should I be re-directing the key maps to? Should it be WMP.exe or Media engine.exe or what? I need to know this for Girder IR to work cause at present I'm just passing the keymaps to the foreground window.

BTW keep up the hard work, your program is wicked.
