See what above? Because m/e hung doesn't necessarily mean nothing was written to your debug.log file.



Although you did make an effort, I still have to give you an F on your bug report. Reason: no version numbers. ;-)

Seriously, you might try playing the movie you said 'failed' first in WMP (outside of MediaEngine) and see if you have the necessary codecs installed. You also didn't specify what type of file that was. If the quicktime movie you attempted to play was something compressed with recent quicktime codecs, WMP won't be able to play that either. Wish we knew how to tell if WMP has errored out looking for codecs. Anyone have ideas?

Well it was late... The answer to that would be no I don't have the right codecs for WMP but I do have Quicktime installed... Any way it was more a 'Dont do it this way every one msg' ..

well it seems to be a CapsLock related problem. Unfortunately this keypad doesn't have a Capslock LED. I'll check it out and set the bios option accordingly.
It could be a nice idea to support Capslock status, you can make 2nd function like scientific calculators...

I really don't think it's a capslock related issue, but maybe numlock. Capslock doesn't change the keycode that we get and store in your kb.ini file, if I recall correctly.

I doubt we'll support any kind of shifted button feature for keyboard input, it's not an extremely popular input device for dedicated carPCs.

D'oh! well I know that most used input device is touchscreen, but believe me, small LCD screens w/ touchscreen are quite rare and very very expensive at least in Italy.
There is a italian reseller who has the famous Xenarc monitors but they cost near 600 euros which is more than what you spend for every other components...

Yeah I was wrong, I was referring to Numlock... capslock is totally another thing :|

I have the 'Power off' command configured on my remote using IRMAN. When I execute this command my laptop running Windows 2000 sp4 successfully goes into standby mode. However on resume from standby mode ME2 is not actually on view in the programs bar. The 4 programs are still running in task manager but they arnt actually showing, just running invisible in the background.

To fix this I have to load task manager and end all the 4 tasks, then re-open ME2.

Also another problem I have is after returning from playing a vis and then going back in to the main menu, about 2" of the right hand main screen is chopped off (just a black area). To fix this I have to clsoe and re-open ME2.

Its not too much bugs in 2.0, probably just 1 bug holding you up... I bet if we had some one on one chat time I could help you out..

And yes, we will be releasing another version soon... Yes, version, as in an installer... We have neutralized many many bugs since 2.0.27 (we are at 2.0.46 at the time of this posting)...

MediaEngine is an extremely complex program. It does a lot more for you than you think. We strive to make this application function correctly, and truth is, I bet many people download it and use it without saying one thing in here. I have over 500 different people signed up for the mediaengine.org newsletter, and I only hear from a few of them about problems.
