good job Naamanf, I'm sure a lot of people will be glad you found this
Just downloaded and installed this IRAssistant, irman.dll and powersafe.dll.
Activated it and now ME 2 wont load. Pops up with a couple of error messages, something to do with one of the ME exe's. Will write down these tomorrow.
What have i done wrong?
Irman needs to be disabled in ME. Load ME with IRAssistant off. Then turn Irman off in ME. Load up IRAssistant, program it with the functions you want, then reload ME. Should work fine after that.Quote:

I noticed theres an option to load an application in IRAssistant and at the same time turn IR off so the application can use the port for IR. This seems to work fine with ME until I put windows into Standby, on reloading obviously ME has the IR port open so IRAssistant doesn't have control to re-start the port.
I use IRAssistant to control ME. I leave the Irman control in ME disabled.Quote:

That would be very nice and useful with ME (hint hint again) :D
So have you set up the keyboard actions under ME and configured IRAssistant to fire these keyboard actions with a remote or something?
Thats exactly what I have done. I have a PAC SWI-X hooked up to my steering wheel buttons. I have pretty much full control of ME with my steering wheel through the SWI-X/Irman/IRAssistant.Quote:
