Cycling between Main Screen and loading screen...

I just installed Media Engine 2. Build 2.0.20 in my carputer. I am using Windows Media 9.0, with Win XP Corporate version. The cpu is an AMD 2200+ in a ShuttleX. As soon as I answered the questions about the directories and it went to the main screen it started cycling between the main screen and the loading screen. About 1.5 seconds each showing. I can shut down Media Engine by double clicking on the red button when it shows but am not able to get into the setup area. I have cycled the puter off and back on but when I restart Media Engine it does the same. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times but it still has the same problem going on.
Any suggestions?
I put it on a back up system in the house and it installed with no problems. Same software as above but only a 1200 Athlon cpu.

update your mediaengine.exe. I think the latest version is .27 now. I understand there has been a few issues about the screen looping which have been fixed.

I went to: http://www.mediaengine.org/index.php?downloads
and the download shows as version 2.0.20. I assume that this is the latest version. Is there another place to download from? Do I have the newest version? I still have the same problem.

Thank you much. I just couldn't find it before. As it states, it should fix the problem.

argh! I installed the update so I have 2.0.27. Now it turns on the main screen and then approx 2-3 secounds later ME disappears and is closed. I can't get to any other window as it starts to go to wherever I click on and then closes. It is not min, it is closed.
Any suggestions?

i'm havind the same problem...and mine is p2 300 mmx, I can't get it to work...

The only solution anyone has provided was to try Mediacar. Nothing I have done has been able to make ME work. It just crashes back to the desktop. In games, that is usually means a video conflict. ???

i installed in my pc wich also have xp pro. and i get the same problen but my brother has xp ome and it works fine so i guess it is a issue with xp pro. but what? and how can it be fix!

ME is better for me cause it offers a full screen .. and mediacar only run on 800x600 or 840x640 or something like that... my screen is a 13.3.. so not luck for me with media car...
