must be something isolated to your setup, i run ME on XP pro with no autoshutdown (Crashes) at all. Take a look in the debug.log file and see if theres any helpfull info there as to why its crashing.

I have this problem with WinXP Pro fully patched while running the latest ME2.x. So I just run ME1.77 and I'm good to go

    Talking

    i was told to
    Delete settings.ini
    Delete kb.ini
    Delete keys.ini
    Delete tags.mdb
    Delete me_audio.m3u
    Delete me_video.m3u
    Delete debug.log
Next, run the Unregger.exe file (this releases the activeX exes from the registry)...then run the app again
i haven't try these yet but i'm going to .. for sure
by the way where can i get ME 1.77
