must be something isolated to your setup, i run ME on XP pro with no autoshutdown (Crashes) at all. Take a look in the debug.log file and see if theres any helpfull info there as to why its crashing.
media engine not working on xp pro
does any one have a solution for running media engine on xp pro.. the problem een with the latest updates is that the ME shuts down after 3 sec..

i was told to
Delete settings.ini
Delete kb.ini
Delete keys.ini
Delete tags.mdb
Delete me_audio.m3u
Delete me_video.m3u
Delete debug.log
Next, run the Unregger.exe file (this releases the activeX exes from the registry)...then run the app again
i haven't try these yet but i'm going to .. for sure
by the way where can i get ME 1.77
it worked on xp from the beginning, ive tested it on about 3 computers at my house and one at work, all running xp pro
Its working on XP Pro now, I clean installed it again. Going to use XPLite in a few min and see if it works

Okay, XP Lite is installed, and ME2 works.. And then it crashes in ~1min or so from startup. Ideas??
