I have the same problem and I found that it only happened when I was using GPS. THe problem is that GPS is not shutting down correctly. This causes the programthe hang. OR wait til the DPS part closes.
Hi,
I have been using ME for about 3-4 years and have recently upgraded to the newest release. The problem I am seeing is that if I try and exit ME, it locks up. It runs fine while listening to music and using IGuidance, but if I try and exit ME completely by selecting home and then the "x" (upper right on the main screen) the program hangs and if I try and press anything else including the "x" it just triggers a windows sound as if I am pressing an invalid area. I can close the program via Windows Task Manager, but ending it this way requires that the next time ME boots it refreshes the db and with over 30 gigs of music this takes about 10-15 minutes and therefore is undesirable. Any ideas as to what is causing the hang?
More info -- Via m10000 with 512mb ram, liliput with touchscreen as well as a mouse and keyboard, Hibernating on shutdown.
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks for the reply. The GPS causing it makes perfect sense as I have also seen it cause a hang on hibernation a couple times when a passenger inadvertently exited out of IGuidance instead of just canceling the current navigation.
If you're still having lockup issues when closing Media Engine please PM me and I can take a look. You'll want to have a copy of your settings.ini file to send along.
