Is there any way to select more than one song at a time or groups of artists when building a playlist? I have WAY too many songs to choose from...
Assuming you mean by holding down [ctrl] or [shift] to select multiple files, then no. The list control we use doesn't allow multiple selections. The playlist editor was designed to be used primarily with a touchscreen or another limited input device such as a keypad or an IR remote so it's not very 'power user' friendly.
On the artists question, that's not really possible either unless searching by genre would help.
