Gerard,

the site is not down, but there are problems with the DNS for the
mediaengine.org domain here in the Netherlands.
I found out the ip-number for the server via a Belgian DNS-server,
and the ip is 63.171.134.55. Just type http://63.171.134.55 in your
browser and you will see the webserver for mediaengine is up and running.

AAAARGH the download from that site only registeres 6mb instead of the full file, so it doesnt extract.

You have managed to catch both times in the last two weeks that i've shut the server down or restarted the apache daemon.
1) grow some patience
2) you really aren't obligated to post in the forum every time you think the sky might be falling
Because I run the server and am responsible for getting us free bandwidth, and because it's running on garbage hardware that I obtained at zero cost, I reserve the right to shut it down or otherwise dick with it as much as I like. You on the other hand are subject to my whimsical manipulations of the server. Posting in the forum is going to do nothing for anyone but annoy me. Please stop or I will be forced to pummel you with a blunt object.
