Playing a mp3 or movie cd

Is there any way to gracefully play mp3s or movies that are on a cd? I guess I would need to launch an external application to do that, correct? Any other suggestions? I use a non-TS screen and a numeric keypad so my control options are limited.

easiest way since you dont have touch screen or an easy to get to input device. make the cd autorun or if you have winxp, you can choose what program to open different kinds of cd's

or get a ir remote to use with it?

autorun, forgot about that. Not sure how that works with ME running so I'll have to test it out.

I have some Creative remotes, I use them on my other projects like my HTPC, haven't set it up since I have a serial GPS that I've used.
