I work with guys who develop software, so I understand that it is a tedious process.
That being said, please do not think I am being pushy with my question:
Do you have a potential release date for the new version of Media Engine that supports XMPCR or GPS?
I am not in a rush, as I am using TouchXM now for XM. I just think it would be great to have almost everything I use in one tidy app, rather than having to drop into an external application.
Now for the gratuitous complement: Media Engine is the BEST front end I have used!
Thanks in advance for any information on these great additions!

Funny. Didn't mean it to sound like I was kising butt, but after working with a bunch of guys who write code that jumps through hoops, I can appreciate the work they put into it. Its better than what I could write.Originally Posted by antimatter

damn.. im looking to build a system now... would be nice if i could impliment it without an upgrade. but thats only like 30 seconds, so i think i can live![]()
This is the same question that we have been asking.... I'd also love to know when the release date is... although, I have been considering going to FrodoPlayer. It looks like a neat compilation of software..
Sweet! Another carpc person with my car! I currently have a 1995 Ford Thunderbird LX...4.6L V8. What is yours LX? SC? Mines maroon, but I'm about to get a body kit/paint job/rims
So did you bondo your dash? I did...and let me tell you that dash piece flexes a lot so make sure you use fiberglass bondo. I'm having some issues with cracking and the screen is currently not installed. Anyways, I'd like to hear about what you've done to your car!
CarPC install is starting to come along again...
Thanks for asking. Its an LX, 4.6L V8 with about 113,000 miles on it. Its dull grey, but by the end of this week, it should be back to its nice, shiny, factory silver color (I got hit by a person who rolled through a yield sign, so it sort of made me want to get it painted.)Originally Posted by Grayscale
I have the CarPC and stereo out of it right now, as I trust the guys at the paint shop, just not the people who pass by at night, if you get my drift.
Currently, I have the Xenarc monitor off to the right side on a custom cell phone mount (Phone has been long gone). The PC pipes in through the 7501 tuner/Aux module, then through the DSP then out to the amps. The nice thing about it is, I was able to leave my clarion Din HU in the dash, and still use it for master volume control. That knob makes it nice if you are ever at a stoplight and want to race someone to full volume.
Aside form the Stereo, Car PC, and the Security System (with lots of convenience items), it is, as a lot of my gearhead friends say, "Painfully Stock."
Good luck with the mods to your 'Bird. I'd love to see a picture/stats when its done. Just so people like us can drool, take a peak at this : http://www.allenengine.com/tbird1.html. Wish I had one.
Lots of Go-Power.
