    Queueing music on the fly

    Hi guys,

I'd like to be able to use the browse interface to 'enqueue' songs to play, bascially, to make a playlist on the fly. When I use winamp on its own, I can right click songs and enqueue them, it would be nice to have the same feature in Media Engine. Before I go and request this as a feature, can someone give me a sanity check that this feature doesn't already exist and isn't staring me in the face?

    Thanks!

you can create playlists... or a favorite playlist.

To create a playlist - go to playlists then create new playlist. From here you select the songs you want in it then you name and save the playlist. Similar to winamp functionality.

Favorite playlists can be access through the main interface bar in the mp3-player (click the menu up button - then click the favorite button on right hand side ... this will add the song to your favorites playlist).

Since we're on the subject, maybe I can make a suggestion: When you hit the favorite button, a list would come up (near the button, like the Start button in Windowz) with a number of playlists to add to. You then would select which playlist to add the song to. It would be a little eaiser then having to go through the (sometimes) tedius process of editing a playlist.

I guess the difference is, I don't want to create an actual playlist that I have to name and that lives there forever, I want a temporary playlist for just that session, like the 'enqueue' functionality in winamp. I'll go ahead and request the feature.

    Thanks!

This would be a fairly nice addition really, to be able to have music playing.. then browse your collection and add tracks to the end of the current playlist. Nice for those whim plays that we all have from time to time

I just loaded up say 12 hours (or more) worth of music, and have it on shuffle, that way it takes care of the music, and you don't know what your getting played next.

I like how half the replies on this whole site consist of suggesting you do one thing (usually the obvious feature everybody already knows about) when you asked about something totally different. Fun stuff.

I would definitely need an enqueue function to make my CPC a reality. I didn't realize ME didn't have this (I'm in the testing phase of building first, so I am just getting up to speed on some things). I wish I knew how to write software.
