GPS Suggestion for non destinator software

Carcomp or Phat_b,

I would like to see the music controls on the bottom like in the mp3 player. Since Iguidance does not need any of the destinator buttons it would open up a great deal of screen space for the map. Is this something that can be done easily?

I second this suggestion.

I hate haveing to pic the app, move back to playlist, move back to external app, pic app, check directions, go back to mp3.....unless i'm really dumb and there's someway to shortcut this procedure.

Of course i should probably just go buy destinator instead of using the old version of street atlas that came with the GPS....

Looking at the beta on the website right now, how do i get destinator to work with mediaengine? will it actually pick it up automatically, or is that still in development?

Yay! i realized i can use street atlas with the beta of mediaengine! thanks very much! now i just have to figure out how to keep it from popping over (fullscreening) the buttons for mediaengine. Argh...i should just buy destinator...i know...but it's so expensive.....and i've finally memorized how to use street atlas.

You might try opening the GPS app outside of MediaEngine and making sure that it's not maximized when you close it.

thanks, i think that worked, however, it only helps the first time i load ME per bootup. Next time i start up ME without rebooting, the same thing happens. For now, i am just turning off and restarting everytime, but is there any information i can give you that might help in resolving the problem?
