XM changing channel issue and more

After a while, I can no longer change the channel in the XM screen. I see all my XM channels and I can click on anyone I want however it doesn't tune. And when I try to exit out of ME from the home screen (top right X) it freezes.

Also, is there a way to sort the channels in the XM screen? It sorts by if there is a graphic there or not then channel number. Also, why are there duplicates of some channels?

What version of MediaEngine are you using, and what kind of XM receiver. The list _should_ be sorted numerically by channel.

After reading your posts, make sure you're not using frodo's xm app while you have MediaEngine configured to use XM as well. MediaEngine will use your receiver all the time to keep the channel list updated, not just when you're listening to it.

Using the latest beta and I'm not using Frodo's app at the same time as ME's XM app. I'll try it again by leaving it on for a while but the other problem still occurs. After a while I can no longer change the channels. Clicking on another channel will highlight it but it will not tune. And then when I try to exit ME by clicking the X it freezes at the homescreen.

Ok - sit tight. I just got ahold of a receiver to test with yesterday (again, props to isaakian). Lots of ppl have been having issues with the direct wired straight to a serial port.

Having same problem here with XMDirect, plays fine and changes channels fine for about 30-45 seconds then it seems like the XMDirect no longer accepts commands from this app, but sound continues to come out. only way to get it to work again is to close out... run frodo's sat player and then close out of that. then open ME again and goto configuration and uncheck then recheck the XM checkmark under 'Radio' tab... works for another 30-45 seconds.

I'm working on a solution to this, but I've not been able to spend any time on MediaEngine for a while. Basically what's happening is the receiver just goes to sleep sporadically for long periods of time. Both the XMDirect and the PCR do this, but it seems like the Direct does this much more prevalently.
